No need for a download! Play on your computer or mobile!
Inspired by the 1977 classic "Star Wars: A New Hope" climactic final battle to destroy the Death Star we are proud to present Trench Run.
This game was coded using only HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. It requires no download and it is able to played both on mobile and stationary devices.
The designs in Trench Run hearken back to simpler time when games weren't as complicated. Before you had to have the latest graphics card to play games or pay a subscription.
All visuals in Trench Run, save for background images and the winning screen, were made by the sole developer of the game, Eric Malmström
The inspiration for the game comes from Google's T-rex game:

But for trench run the game concept is inverted, with you being tasked with surviving till you reach to reactor. It is also possible to move in up and down instead of a simple jump manouvre.
Play the game, or see the internal workings of the code at the github page!
A Homage to Flash Games
Growing up on the internet around the 2000s I played a lot of flash games. Though I never developed anything in flash these games were what inspired me to study computer science. The cultural impact of being able to play games on a browser, without the need for a download, is what showed many the beauty of the internet. Sadly since the 31rst of December 2020 flash player is no longer supporter. This game is a homage to the flash games of old where you could play games directly in your browser without any hassle.
